Eddie could have just shot his balls.
The scene with his mom was so heartbreaking, but it made perfect sense. I love how the episode built toward his decision. And running into the singularity, that is one hell of a cliff hanger.
Causing Eobard to cease to exist is what caused the singularity. Ballshot, or death.
Eddie kills himself, meaning Eobards actions ever happened. So were back to the original timeline that we've never seen, only heard about.
This means Eobard ends up becoming an enemy of the flash. Eobard travels back in time to kill young Barry but ends up getting stuck in the past, the show timeline. This brings us back to Eddie killing himself.

Well that was an amazing ending. More people need to see this. Goddamn shame some asshole was cast as the Flash for the theatrical version.

Cinematic universe Flash is just another parallel world, introducing that concept is perfect for the show because now they can bring in any characters that DC will let them get their hands on and not worry about getting the movie casts (or doing the dark shitty DC movie versions)
