He will never be close to the danger. if his pops was there every time something pops off his first thought would be to make sure dad is okay. this way he's not a distraction. and Barry can check in on him anytime he wants. Noone will try to find out who he is to hold hostage or some such nonsense. makes perfects sense to me.

Also i Geeked at the name and the dude that showed up. i dont even like dc. but those 2 things got me going.

See, that rationale actually makes sense, but that's not remotely the way it was presented in the show.

The real reason is that the show only needs one father figure. This is not "My Two Dads".

Since the first season went up on Netflix, I gave this show another shot.
Made it 5 episodes in, and that's as far as I can go.
I wouldn't say it's bad. But I've already watched Smallville once. It's the same fucking formula almost exactly.
Event that gave the protagonist powers also resulted in bad dude of the week getting powers? Check
Pining for relationship with childhood friend that just won't ever happen (of course it will happen)? Check
Boy and Girl helper buddies? Check
Yawn.

I have never watched Smallville, but people who have say this show is much better. I can tell you that later episodes are much better than the earlier ones, but the relationship between Iris and Flash is probably the worst part of the show.

Buffy, Roswell, Supernatural. How many times can people watch the same shit.
