I'd be surprised if that was her only costume in the movie. Her original costume 90's animated suit would look pretty weird on screen. I like her Bombshell design.

I don't know, it just seems to be a step back. She had a normal build, was fully clothed and was mostly attractive for her personality in the cartoon.

All the flesh and trash feels like a cop out.

You have to consider the tone of this movie. I have no reference to Suicide Squad. But the Animated Series is pure Noir, so OG Harley fit in there. This is Fast Five, Twenty-Teens Street Trash, she would stick out. Hopefully, we will see a slick colorful Batman Noir in our lifetime and Classic Harley & Joker will be there to yuk it up.

That was pretty much only the TV incarnation of her though. Which yes was her first incarnation. That said though in the comics, easily going back to the early 00's now she's had a different look. I'm not trying to say its better than her original look or anything, just that, that look has been gone for awhile now. They really sexed her up for quite some time, the current series is trying to sex her down a little bit.
