I don't see the problem with a 'community experience'. Hell, go to a film festival sometime. Occasionally an unannounced cast or crew member will be kicking around in the audience, it's a big thing for them if the work gets an applause spontaneously like that.

A review from a Mom, is this Movie appropriate for teens?

I saw it last night, it's totally geared towards young edgy teen boys. I would have enjoyed it a lot more in middle school. Every time Harley Quinn is on the screen, another character has to comment on how hot she is (but sooo crazy!).

The plot was a cluster. They loaded all the character introductions into the first half hour and it felt like a full hour. I was looking at the clock at an hour in expecting the film to start wrapping up. I think teen me would have had a great time. I don't watch many super hero movies, so I can't compare it to Marvel's output.
Cutting it more like the trailer was probably a good idea. It fit the cheesy dialogue and teen boy demographic.
