Come the fuck on. Yes there are bad ones out there but the only good covers are ones that do something new and there are a ton of those, you are not this dense. Here, just off the top of my head are a few:

Fugees - Killing Me Softly

You just said "no covers" it's often difficult to know what you're talking about because you don't clarify yourself until considerably later in the discussion. Usually after someone has poked holes in your original point.
