    I suppose if the actor playing himself fits the role then I guess it doesn't matter. That said Nicholson playing himself isn't the character of the Joker, so it matters. I think Christopher Walken is great, but there are certain casting choices that I think he would be terrible as. Great actors can be terrible in certain roles.
