More PC Beta Test playing!
-I like what they've done with Cammy. Everything stops at different distances now so there's a learning curve to sorting out what's safe again, keeps things interesting.
-The pace of the game is really interesting. It seems to ask you to follow up all your offense with very specific target combos more often than not, instead of one frame links the game kind of stops for a frame and lets you put the next input in, odd.
-V-Skill moves are pretty much two-input specials, they fill up the V-Gauge quickly but seem to be very situation-specific: Charlie's bamfs fireballs, Cammy does the Spinning Backfist (goes through FB)
-V-Reversals are pretty much Alpha Counters, and they all seem radically different from one another. Most seem to gain you a lot of ground, they're nice.
-V-Triggers aren't quite as useful as V-Rs yet, but they're decent power-ups.
-All the Critical Art supers seem to want to chain, to the point where they're tough to execute solo as punishes-- the game wants you to chain them.
-You can't KO somebody by chipping them to death with specials anymore.
-The 'boob physics' on the player 2 character portraits are out of control. Chun Li almost gets smacked in the face every time.
-Taunts are all six buttons, I'd prefer to be able to bind that to Select but w/e.
-Online play seems to range from 'awful' to 'pretty decent' right now.
-Stages are ok, not too far out from SFIVs though. More smashable stuff. The Fatal Fury Real Bout-y 'stage breaking' stuff stays from round to round, which is nice.
-I really don't like switching sides between matches, so far it really messes me up as far as what my meters are doing at the start of a round. That can go away.
