I liked the first disk of ff7. I liked how big the city felt. The game kind of feels lesser after you leave. Like, uh, most if the world's population lives in Midgar for some reason. The world felt sparse despite the tech level.

Savages.
Look, I love some bad games like Rocket Slime TROOOOOOLIN, but I just couldn't get into CCL.
I couldn't even be bothered to spell it out there.
This applies to most JRPGs.Originally Posted by Vasteel
The sparseness works for fantasy because they use a medieval or similar setting. Back then people didn't live all over the place. You'd live in a town near water and hopefully some kind of duke or lord that would protect you.
That just doesn't work in a game with modern mega cities.
I liked FF7 a lot but I do agree with butt
I like FF7 a lot but the game did lose some steam and fell into typical FF rhythms once you got out of Midgar. I think that was what they were going for though.
