They even found ways to invent new explanations for untold mysteries from the films. Like, why did the imperial guard rock those crazy red uniforms? Turns out they were descendants of the custodians of the khyber crystals from Jedha. (Now I admit this might be told somewhere else like in Rebels or Clone Wars or something, but I've never seen those dudes in red anywhere else but RotJ and this movie.)

I must have missed this bit. I saw them in Vaders chamber, but I didn't hear anything about them. Also they appear in blue in Phantom Menace.

If you notice, on Jedha there are people dressed in similar red uniforms everywhere. I assumed there was a connection between the red uniforms, the crystals, and the temple.

I do wish we could have seen what was going on with the mining operation, I feel like that was a 'tell don't show' aspect of things.

Just left the theater. Fell asleep (at a 4:00 showing) twice.
First hour was boring to say the least. Ended nicely.
Vader was fine, Tarkin looked stupid.
I'd say overall it was on par with TFA,which is to say fine.

Too bad Disney didnt buy DC. This was the real Suicide Squad movie.

One thing that dig bug me was all the "may the force be with you" crap.
During New Hope, it seemed like no one really knew or believed in the force.

"No one" was a sheltered farm boy who was kept away from anything force related because of his dad and a space pirate who was written that way to let Lucas show the audience and Luke that the force is real. At the end of the briefing before they attack the death star the general specifically states may the force be with you. So it's there.

As for the Space Nazis, at that time it's unhealthy to be talking about the force unless your name is Vader. That's why peoples lack of faith was disturbing.

I recall something about a sad devotion to an ancient religion. If the force were something people dealt with on a daily basis I dont see how dude would have been so flippant about it.

The Jedi downfall always happened during Vader's generation, eighteen years is long enough to make most people disregard something.
