Ya this has been pretty bad today. Issue a warning in the first and then forget it both times the Royals nearly bean Donaldson, and then throw Sanchez out when a Jay finally retaliates.

Either way that was a hell of a series, glad the Jays could win 3 of them. And Donaldson showing Bautista how to act like an adult when it matters. Hopefully he can figure it out when it's his turn.

Oh man. Royals are in full on Heel mode right now. Volquez called Donaldson a big baby who needs to suck it up. Ned Yost is making comments saying the umpiring was perfectly fine today. I really hope these teams play in the post season.

I like the Royal, too. That's really disappointing. Specifically because:

a) As a CBS commentator pointed out, Volquez pretty much admitted implicated himself by calling Donaldson a baby, voiding his argument that the Jays shouldn't have been upset. You're admitting you were trying to hit him because you didn't like his swagger or the fact that he was pimping balls.

b) The Royals are suffering from Red Sox Syndrome: You're shit for years, you get finally get good, and instead of being humble and competitive, you act as though you have a storied playoff history/organization like the New York Yankees over the past 20 years, and that every other team is beneath you. I mean, they are a fucking fantastic team, but it's been 1-and-a-half years of over .500 ball. Before that, they sucked. Hard. That's why them coming out of nowhere to win last year was so refreshing. Why are they acting like the perennial champions? Why are their fans (every team has these fans, even the Jays) acting like everyone else is fucking trash? Act like you've been here before.

c) The Jays now have the longest playoff drought in North American sports. That's only because the Royals played October baseball last year. During their respective droughts the Jays fielded competitive (but ultimately losing) teams, while the Royals were under .500.

d) I mean, I know this is an issue with sports fandom, but why can't we just be fans of fucking baseball and not so bloody fanatical about our teams. That was a hell of series. Tense. Great baseball, marred by terrible umpiring.

e) If I have to read one more stupid conspiracy theory article about the Blue Jays cheating because they have an amazing offence.... Fuck you, ESPN for your error-ridden Man in White "exposé."

Joe West should've been removed from baseball years ago. Not only is he awful at his craft but he's arrogant about how terrible he is at his job and punishes others for his incompetence.
