I don't have the time to search for it right now, sorry Yoshi, but there are some statistics out there showing what kind of calls the police bring their future weapons on and it's pretty disappointing.

Watched a documentary last night about the Grim Sleeper. Long story short, a black attorney interviewed in the film discussed a time when she told her son to call phone numbers she provided in case there was an emergency, and not to call 911 because he'll likely get shot/harassed because black people can't make a 911 without being treated as a suspect. Fucked up.

One thing I know, this police issue isn't just about race. It's a culture issue within departments nationwide. For some reason, NO ONE is talking about the Albuquerque police, probably the most trigger-happy force we have in the country. And they don't give a shit about the color of your skin. They love to shoot anyone who poses a "threat".
