We just broke in the LD player by watching PREDATOR.

I've got this old video store down the hill that has been operating since the 80s, I've discovered there's an entire back room full of laserdiscs and VHS movies. Awesome obscure stuff, entire runs of Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman and Lone Wolf and Cub, crazy box set things. The ol' lady who runs the place wants $25 a hit to buy 'em (ouch), but says she'll rent titles out to me as apparently I'm the only one to ask in 10 years and they're still in the system. Neat!

I'd kill to be able to rent ld's. I have a ton of movies I've bought for a dollar not because I wanted to own them, but I just want to watch once and then sell/give them away.

Next time I'm down there. Shockingly huge collection, everything from Critetion Ghostbusters to Eraserhead to weird Japanese language James Bond documentaries, Loony Tunes box sets... I am shocked it exists.

I went a little nuts on the Steam doujin sale:

It helped that I still had store credit and the prepaid card that came from my GPU rebate, so it was $0 out of pocket.
