Already on it! I've had a sneakynets version on my PS2 HD for a while, but VI refuses to boot on that.

Technically it depends on the game, but typically yes.

Well, gonna be hard without a D button... but I think the Test button on your cab should go into the softdip settings.

Don't have my Neo in front of me, but I believe you can press Start + ABC (or BCD?) simultaneously to bring up the unibios menu, tell it to reset. Hold down BCD to get into the the softdip menu, change blood to red. The setting should be saved in the memory of the MVS unless you play more than 8 games after Slug (not a problem at the moment.)
