I'm not saying they absolutely don't exist. But if half a decade in the asshole of America turned up nothing, they are most certainly fringe. But if hanging on to that charicature in your mind makes you feel sufficiently self-satisfied and keep the smugness amped up to 11, by all means.

Did you ask them what they believed? Point blank? Because you might have came off as a liberal and they did not trust you enough to talk about it. Or if they were white, and you are brown, assumed you were liberal by default.

Because I know plenty. Just yesterday or the day before I was riding with a friend and I was talking about hwo it was interesting that spider webs were so geometric and how it is hard to believe that came from chaos. He replied with how it is proof of intelligent design and how the big bang is a lie.

Look at this way, Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty lived in LA his whole life too. And he said that in his childhood that black people were just as happy as could be and they never compalined to him about hwo they were treated or racism. He was born in 1946. So he'd lived through the civil rights movement.

He probably never asked. And minorities probably didn't trust him enough to talk about it.

But yea let's keep talking about a bunch of nuts in Utah like it's the same thing.

I'd say it is mostly apples and oranges as America is a unique mix of cultures and indenities while other countries tend to be more unified in beliefes and religion.

On a world level Muslims are probably not more violent that American Christians. But when you select specific nations with militant regimes and sub-powers, it swings the other way.

We should probably focus on those regimes and not allow ourselves to write off people in peaceful areas.
