Anyway, in what will surely be news tomorrow morning, Ivanka Trump tweeted a pic of her and her husband dressed to the nines going to some party. The poor taste and timing of the photo is obvious of course, but I can only smile to myself that people still think this family is representative of the American mediocrity they desperately want leading them. Missile Battery Blues
I'm okay with toughening up on illegal immigration. I'm okay with a more thorough vetting process when it comes to immigrants. It makes at least a bit of sense to me, given current circumstances. Fucking with green card holders and legal immigrants is another matter, though, and certainly seems to be crossing a line. There has to be a legal channel for regular, good people to become residents, and those people should not be subject to discrimination.
I'm not completely educated on all the ins-and-outs of what's transpired over the last few days, but I do feel like it's increasingly important to apply my own filters to just about anything that I read nowadays. Reports, and people in general, are so damn polarized.
Immigrants are already thoroughly vetted.

Sure you can. I'm not sure about you, but I'm not aware of a president that's held office in my lifetime that hasn't been a flaming pile of shit at a gas station. I'm not a Trump fan, I certainly don't think he's great, but I also don't believe that Hillary Clinton would have been any better. She's already held office and has proven that she's a piece of shit. I'd say there's about a zero percent chance of Trump exiting his presidency having earned my trust and praise -- as far as I can tell, this is business as usual.
I see a a lot of people are trading rationalism for identity on both sides of the fence. The fence itself is fucking dumb though, none of these people have your best interests at heart.
