Thread: E3 2021

  1. E3 2021

Ubisoft shows off Far Cry 6. I really like 3, 4 and 5, but did not like New Dawn or Primal. They had too many weird things going on.

I don't know what to think about an Avatar game.

  3. Sea of Thieves…..really Microsoft?

I’m not all that hyped about Indy games, but replaced looks pretty cool.

  4. Somerville has me excited because it's the dude behind Limbo and Inside, both of which were awesome.

Halo Infinite multiplayer doesn't really matter to me, but the game engine / graphics look way better than the last time they showed it so that bodes well for the single player experience.

Starfield getting a release date is cool, I'm really hoping this is Bethesda doing Fallout 3 / Oblivion in space, and not just a further watering down of their game types like Fallout 4 was, but either way I'm confident I'll play the shit out of it.

  5. Starfield looks like a must have for me.

Ascent looks pretty cool as well.

  6. I went ahead and sticky'd the thread for now. Most of your main discussion thru this week should probably be here.

  7. Why did Square even bother?

I wish they'd just stick to applying the FFVII Remake treatment to prior games for the next decade because their random shit is horrible looking.

Finish VII then give the same treatment to Chrono Trigger, FFIX and FFXI. Call it a day.

  8. I thought that Guardians of the Galaxy could be a good game, but yeah, the rest was pretty meh!

  9. I thought Xbox came out pretty strong, particularly if you consider that they are trying to sell Game Pass more than they are Xbox. The amount of big day one Game Pass titles they showed is really impressive, there's a lot of value there.

Plus they're making good one everything being on PC day one, including stuff that historically hasn't been like Forza and Halo.

The STALKER 2 stuff was enough to get me legit hyped for that game. I have been nervous about it since it has big shoes to fill and it's a new dev (sort of), but what they showed looks strong.

    And Psychonauts 2 looks amazing.

By "Dude behind" you mean "business development guy behind". Arnt Jansen is the main creative dude behind Limbo and Inside, and he's still with Playdead. Not that the game doesn't look good.

  10. Looks like (I'm learning these names right now) Jansen really rubbed off on Patti then, because when I first saw the trailer I was like "this has to be the Limbo/Inside guys" and then I had to google the developer when it wasn't Playdead.

That FEELS like the third game in the "series".
