Thread: XOP demo

  1. For demo play, I use the spread laser and implosion. Spread laser is top-notch on stage 1 for picking up all the small "fire then leave" enemies for extra points. Any time I'm fighting big tanks or the boss, I swap over to implosion, which is a dominant boss weapon, in my book. I also use implosion through just about all of stage 2.

    It should be noted that both weapons lose their appeal when playing the full version of the game. The spread laser is never really practical past stage 1; it simply does too little damage. And implosion doesn't necessarily pull its weight past stage 3. But when you're just playing the first two, that hardly matters.

  4. I'm made to understand that higher difficulties actually produce higher scores. DAL yields more points as you go up. In any case, and I hate to screw around further with the rules for the challenge, but it seems it either needs to be "play any diff you want, higher will yield better scores" or "play Very Hard and only that".
