Thread: Most Ridiculous Scenes in Movies

  1. Most Ridiculous Scenes in Movies

You know the ones I'm talking about. The one's that leave you sitting there kind of stunned, only to then exclaim "Oh COME ON!!"

-Behind Enemy Lines: The pilot dodging the hail of bullets at the end of the movie. I know he's the films hero, but COME ON! He didn't even get grazed! He had a small army all firing at the same damn time! And what about the copters? They were an even easier target!

-Spiderman: The unveiling of the Green Goblin w/mask. Now this "costume" was supposed to be being developed for the military right? So why the hell did it have that ridiculous mask? I can't see the US Military wanting a bunch of Power Ranger rejects attacking the enemy. I know, I know...Spiderman's a comic book fantasy world, supposed to be fun...but still.

Then of course theres the utterly unbelievable(and hilarious) headless dancing scene in Toxic Avenger 2. Troma fans know what I'm talking about. Actually that whole fight scene preceding it was pretty amazing.

A little over-analytical? Sure! But it's all in good fun. Post scenes in movies that just had you groaning in disbelief.

  2. Hahah, My favorite topic

I'm totally agree with you on Behind Enemy Line scenes, those were fuckin ridiculos. I mean a small army of tanks, jeeps and artilery, plus multiple ground units fire EVERYTHING they got at Owen Wilson and 3 US helicopers, and MISS COMPLETELY, while Wilson succesfully dodges EVERY bullet, and NONE of copter get HIT !!!!! Oh, Yeah, and US forces destroy almost EVERY enemy on the battle field, since NONE of their shots MISS. And then happily fly into sunset !!!

    Pathetic !!!!

  3. There are MANY but I don't have time right now to type them all. I'll get back to it later. But one for the road...The face-eating spiders in The Beyond. Could it have had less to do with the movie? Could it have looked any more fake? I don't think so. Oh and the knife in the eye at the beginning of Evil Dead Trap. All that clear ooze coming out looked really stupid. But there were some great death scenes in the movie. That just wasn't one of them.

    Later all...

  4. LMAO at the Beyond, hahaha Fulci movies are always like that. Plot holes and out of place scenes galore. But you know what, you just reminded me of a couple more from that movie.

The acid in the morgue: Ok, so this woman walks into the morgue, and a bit later we hear her scream and see that she is laying on the ground next to a table that has an OPEN container of acidic liquid pouring onto her face. Uh...what?? So this lady somehow fell on the ground so an open container of acid could pour on her? How stupid does someone have to be? Fulci did you even watch your movies??

The doctor and the zombies: Ok, so near the end when they are in the Hospital, the doctor gets a gun and shoots a zombie in the body a couple times, only to then finally get it right and aim for the head. The results are instant and the zombie drops. But, right after that, the doctor aims for the body again on another zombie! He shoots the zombies body twice, then shoots it in the head! Once again, the results are instant, the zombie dies from the bullet to the brain. THEN, the doctor keeps doing it! Shooting them in the body before suddenly remembering that two seconds ago a headshot worked like magic! If he wanted to waste a shit load of ammo he did a good job...

Ah, Fulci was truly an odd film maker to say the least...the ending to that movie kicked ass though. Music was great too...

  5. I like the Highlander films actually. They have lots of flaws but the one that broke the camels back was when they killed of Connor! WHAT THE FUCK! The movie wasnt that bad but they killed CONNOR!! Thats just fucking stupid!!!! I understand they probably want Duncan(Adrian Paul) to be the man for now on but shit, they kill CONNOR!!

I love the part of UHF where Wierd Al makes fun of movies like that (Rambo parody). The guy with the machine gun firing from 3 feet away and missing while Wierd Al/Rambo doesn't even dodge is priceless!

  9. Episode II: Shmi's little... scene.

  10. I'd say ALL of Episode 2 was freaking ridiculous.....

I like how in the GI Joe movie, after Duke gets impaled by a snake staff, you see the wound in the left side of his chest where it is supposed to be. He says something to someone, then it cuts back to Duke. Now the wound is in the right side of his chest!! Scene cuts to someone, then cuts back to Duke. Now the wound is back where its supposed to be! Wow.
