I know there are some Seinfeld fans on this board - to me that show is one of the only shows worth watching on tv thesedays - and its reruns at that. C'mon - sign this thing!!
I'd like to sign a petition to have Larry David shot for that unbelievably flamingly crappy, unclever final episode which was nothing more than a bland wrap up of all the characters they met. "Look at me, I'm Larry David and I have a dark sense of humor. Let's have the characters re-meet all the dorks they encountered and then they'll go to jail while Newman laughs. I'm so avante gard and clever."
It has to do with killing the viewers of syndication. If it's released on DVD, lots of people will just watch that, and not bother sitting through commercials and the pain in the ass of TV.
The price paid for syndication rights and residuals is much more than DVD sales.
I think the simpson's is the lone exception, and look how long that took for the 1st season to come home in a set. What was it, like 12 years or something?
