I'm lucky. I have a cable modem, even though I have to pay a SCC (shitty cable company) for so-so access. Not 16 months ago, I only had Dish in a town home in a smaller town. No cable modem access (no cable, really..10 channels only $30/month!). That community allowed mini-dishes. A lot of apartments don't allow you to mount dishes, and there is always distinct possibility that there will not be a clear line of site to get signal. Asides from "move somewhere else" what advice would you offer?

It's lame because that would affect so few people living in the middle of nowhere that it's retarded. Apartments aren't all the rage in hicksville. And hicksville is the only place that doesn't have normal BB.
