Watched the DVD this weekend. There were some decent extras and stuff. I don't feel like repeating everything I said earlier in this thread when I saw the flick in the theater, so I'll just say that:

Decent fun, completely mindless action flick

Was better than the original and better captured the feel of the game

Jill was mucho fucking hot

Nemesis completely owned this movie (worth the price of admission alone)

Milla is an annoying bitch with the body of an anorexic 12-year-old boy and I was praying for Nemesis to kill her

Milla looks like a crack hore and watching her try to fight, run down buildings ,and crash through church windows on motorcycles was painful.

I have yet to see House of the Dead, but it cant possibly be much more terrible than this.

I've played through every Resident Evil twice, look at my signature, and I have no fanboy hate whatsoever for Paul W.S. Anderson. Yet I have never seen this film and have no desire to do so, Sony failed.

You thought so? I dont know man. I wasnt impressed.I would've been if he would've ran through some walls and mangled the STARS by hand or something. Shit, he had a rail gun with unlimited ammo and a missile launcher. Give me that and I could be a "nemesis" to anyone on my street block or beyond. He was just to slow and clunky and the only thing that made him scary was his weapons.Without that he's just a slow moving deformed dude with some serious body armor.I know he wasnt much more in game, but some liberties could've been taken to make him better, they sure as fuck took liberties with the movie elsewhere.

I know I've heard you guys say that before, but it is a good analogy. I think she looks worse since Fifth Element. I dont remember her being so damn unattractive in that movie like her more recent one('s?). And she overacts way too much in all of her roles - hyperactivity does not a good actor make.

This is becoming a disturbing trend in a lot of action movies, and threatens to ruin my love of the genre.

It had its moments, but it lacked important things like fun, gore and good direction of action scenes.

i loved the scsne in HotD where the blonde girl gets puked on and she is supposed to sceam, but instead does a half hearted scresm/laugh. its hillarious. i guess the director just said "all we have is the one roll of film so no fixes".

He looked exactly like he did in the game and he pwn3d everyone he ran into (except for Milla, which was BS). Sure, some Nemesis-style beatdowns or tentacles through the head would have been cool, but R-rated movies can't get away with the gore they used to. The RE movies are pretty devoid of actual blood and guts.

The movie was at its strongest when it WASN'T taking liberties with the game.

Agreed here. I thought she looked pretty decent in the Fifth Element. Shit, she actually had titties back then. Nowadays, her chest is almost concave.

You can't compare RE:A to HotD. RE is a cheesy action movie with a few (though not many) redeeming qualities. HotD is so bad it that it's a laugh riot. I love it.

compared to HOTD, RE1 and The Unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four movie, this was fucking fabulous.

milla is hot. sienna guilroy is hot. nemesis owned. the black guy was actually funny and not a upn character tossed in for minority relief, and it mimicked the feel of the game to perfection.

secondly, i dont see why you whiny bitches continue to compare this to other zombie movies, as this is a VIDEOGAME movie and should be rated as such against other movies in it's genre(mario, streetfighter, mortal kombat, etc).
