I though the first was pretty good. I was kind of let down that they didn't include the Tyrant...Hopefully the sequel will be better.

all i can say on the matter is that the film that was released was years above the script by romero. i've read thru that script over 4 times and it never ceases to amaze me with it's cheesy dialog and characters that dont develop in any type of story at all.

:notes from the script:
-barry is black
-chris is some native with long flowing hair and a 'oogum, big bear shootin rifle'
-the last half of the script degenerates into the chase sequence from aliens/alien3(with the 'stars/marines' running from aliens/hunters/zombies/et all)

it's like romero took the 6 pack of beer voice acting from the original ps1 release, then put it down on paper. *gag*

thank god he's got some big name movie company backing him with a 50+ million budget for his next flick. resident evil under the helms of romero and this script would have been worse than the double dragon movie.

that new zombie movie coming out looks like it'll kick all sorts of ass. it's called 28 days later or something like that. looks like what resident evil should have been.

Of RE? Who knows. The talks about Special Edtion version of the first film, went no further than being a rumors at this time. We might get lucky and get this edition eventually, but there are no set plans as of now
