I'll see Red Dragon it looks like it might be a real nail-biter. Actually Red Dragon is more of a prequel I believe. As for Hannibel I'd like to see a sequel to that. I found it to be enjoyable to some extent.
Okay, I just want to say that I hated Hannibal, and I thought it was one of the biggest peices of garbage I've ever seen. And with that said, I have absolutely no desire to see it's sequel, Red Dragon.
BUT
I am willing to see it, because Edward Norton is in it.
And as we all know, Norton is the man.
I think this is the first movie I will ever see, just to see an actor act.

Don't forget Harvey Keitel, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ray Phines, and Hannibal Man (I mean Anthony Hopkins). Oddly enough, its being directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1, 2 and The Family Man).
They had the new trailer up with Signs.

Nope, Dont care about it a bit. ManHunter was good enough, so what the reason to remake it, other than to do a CASH RUN on the Hannibal name once again?
Hannibal was pretty bad, and I was bored, so I had to fast forward though it. Sure Norton is a great actor, and the rest of the cast is very decent as well, but I just not interested in it. Maybe when it comes on video and my friend gets it.
Despair is now a mind-reader! Just what I was thinking.
Red Dragon is a cash run indeed. Ralph Fiennes was obviously cast to draw attention to Hopkins' Hannibal.
Brett Ratner couldn't direct traffic.
Although Manhunter is a little dated now, it's still better than Silence OR Hannibal.

I'm with Bio and Despair on this one. Red Dragon has already been made into a movie, and it was excellent. I'm not sure if Manhunter beats Silence of the Lambs, but it's certainly better than Hannibal and at least on par with SotL.
One thing that worries me about the new Red Dragon movie is Hannibal Lecter. Lecter was a minor character in Red Dragon, much more minor than in SotL, and I'm concerned that they're going to pay less attention to Francis Dolarhyde and play up the tired, fava-beans-and-Chianti schtick. Dolarhyde is one of the cooler villains ever conceived (a serial killer fascinated by William Blake? Hmm...), so I'd hate to see the filmmakers ignore him.

Norton's the man... i'm gonna see it...
I will see it and am looking forward to it. Of course, I am looking forward to ANY movie with Edward Norton in it. The Red Dragon is an actual prequel, taking place before Hannibal or Silence of the Lambs. It is my favorite book in the series, but Hannible is not that big of part in it. I dont think that he will be in the movie too much though, they are just using him for the trailers to get people to go who only know the series through him
And Dolarhyde is a GREAT serial killer...lots better then the buffalo bill dude in SotLs.
