Haha, yeah, Soul Calibur 2 is popping up just as much and as quickly as Max2 bootlegs. It rocks! That means competition everywhere![]()
There's a place about 40 mins away; it's Flippers in the Town & Country Mall in southern Florida.
They have lots of great stuff, and Wednesdays are $10 - play all night deals.
They have:
Time Crisis 2
Ninja Assault
Crisis Zone
Confidential Mission
Jurassic Park
VO:OT
CvS2
MvC2
SFA3
Tekken 4
VF4
Planet Harriers
DDRMAX 7th Mix
DDR 5th Mix
Metal Slug 3
And a lot more! I'm just hoping they get MS4 soon. It's a pretty good place, except that they sold both their 3rd Strike games to some chode after a tourney! ARGH! And they haven't replaced them yet! What the hell is wrong with them??
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

I was there today. Wish I knew that...Originally posted by Chux
The Arundel Mills mall in Maryland has Soul Calibur 2 in it's movie theatre...
This thread makes me cry. The only arcade in town has games that were made pre-1997. In fact, the newest fucking game they have is MvC (last time I checked). And the sticks are busted.
Just put it on easy mode, and punch the buttons.Originally posted by cka

Thats all the fuckers around here do...
Yeah, but it's Marvel vs. Capcom for crying out loud... if I want to play that, I can do it from the comfort of my own home.
But in your living room you cant play against 14 year old button mashing scrubs that think they are hot shit.
Or maybe you can...
Nevermind.
My local arcade aint bad, for the state I live in that is (Iowa). Most arcades around here are going belly up, so I'm grateful for what I have.
A Namco Timeout in a mall, notable games being:
DDR 5th mix
Soul Calibur 2
MvC2
Tekken 4
but the fighters are utterly useless. Iowans wouldn't know how to play a fighting game if their life depended on it. No comp whatsoever. I prefer playing the cpu over people, that's how bad it is. I miss Chicago...
I'll just list what I actually play, not their entire inventories.
Lessee here, local mall (Tilt) has:
Metal Slug 4 (GASP!)
Crisis Zone
Pump It Up (not sure which version)
MvC2
Here's a nice summary: They still have not one, but TWO Tekken 2 units.
Somewhat local mall (Challenges) has:
ATV Quad
Smashing Drive
Wild Riders (handlebar is loose, though)
Crisis Zone
Ninja Assault
Again, not too great.
Mall that is a bit of a drive from me has:
Power Stone 2
Garou
SF3: Third Strike
Ninja Assault
HotD2
They did have Jambo Safari, but got rid of it for some crappy DDR-knockoff. They really should have picked SF Rush 2049 to get the boot...
Local bowling alley has:
About 15 different DDR/ Pump It Up machines
Crazy Taxi
HotD2
A futuristic motorcycle game by Sega... I can never remember the name.
Yep, not too hot.
The Jillian's a ways away from me has
Capcom Supercade
CvS2
VF4
Crisis Zone
Confidential Mission
Virtua Tennis
4 Smashing Drive
2 Wild Rider
2 Pump It Up
Jillian's charges way too much per play, though.
Random good games in odd places:
SF3: Third Strike at a run-down movie theater near where I work.
Dimahoo at a roller rink.
Strikers 1945 2 at another run down theater.
Neo Geo cab with Puyo Pop (I think) and Fatal Fury 2 at the Original House of Pancakes.
