Skies of Arcadia Legend to be CENSORED

"Sega announced today that Skies of Arcadia Legend, the Gamecube port of the Dreamcast RPG, will in fact be censored in order to make it more appealing to parents buying it for their children.

No details were available on what will be changed or whether it will affect the U.S. version, but it's likely that if the Japanese version is censored, the U.S. version will receive the same treatment."

Skies of Arcadia will be cut because the target wants to aim at a slightly younger audience. Scenes of in which characters smoke or drink alchoholic beverages will be cut.

here's a list of things that were censored that i found on a Skies fansite.

(1) Gilder can't smoke tobacco.
In the Japanese version of SoA, Gilder would smoke in some
of the victory scenes. This had to be removed.

(2) Bellena's clothes
Apparently, in the Japanese version of SoA some of Bellena's clothes are semi-transparent.
And there is not as much there. This also had to be changed.

(3) Liquor is now Loqua
In Eternal Arcadia, there was Liquor... and it was alcoholic. In Skies, it was
changed to Loqua which is described as a type of juice.

(4) Sailors Island Tavern door
In Eternal Arcadia, the picture carved into the tavern door is
a glass of Liquor. This was changed to a chicken leg.

(5) Vigoro
The file I was reading was translated from Japanese, so it was hit and miss on the translation.
But apparently, they had to change something when Vigoro meets Aika in the Valuan prison cell.
I have no idea what it was though."

heh and those things that you mentioned that were censored were from the US Dreamcast version i think. if its gonna censored like it was the american DC version i don't mind it that much but if they censored it more that will suck
