Thread: Imports

  1. Imports

    Lets talk about imports.
Also, where is a good place to purchase imports, besides online.
I am located in Seattle Washington.

  2. Imports are cool. I like my Honda Civic Si. A nice Nissan S14 or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI would be great but .... wait you mean import games!

Since you don't want to buy online, go to PaCrappa's store. I know he lives out there near Seattle so ask for his address. From what I have read on this board his store sounds to be very reliable with good prices.

Hmm I import games that I either can't wait for the domestic release or games that have no chance of coming out in America. Half of my consoles are the import version and most of them are modded to play American games. I don't care about the legality of importing games, I just wanna play them. The only genre I will not import are RPG's. I only know basic Japanese (kana, few kanji) and I like reading the stories. But shooters, fighters, music/rhythm, and action games are all easy to import.

  3. I used to love importing games, but the price of modification for the Xbox and PS2 are outrageous.
Plus, the prices of import games have shot up.
    Too pricey, for me anyway.
Besides GBA games, the last import I buy will proabably be Ikaruga. That is unless Treasure does something that isn't coming over.

  4. Just go to PaCrappa's shop. Kaneda should be able to show you the way.

Gran Turismo has me totally sold on an Evolution VII...I really hope Sony doesn't have to pay car companies to advertise their products...

  6. I used to import games a ton, but I've backed off to basically none. The only games I'm importing even once in a while are fighters, and it still bothers me not being able to read the win phrases. Hopefully one day I'll know japanese and be able to finally see win lines without the aid of Gamefaqs. :P

  7. I don't know of any west-coast import shops. In fact, the only ones I know of are either online or in NYC. I agree that import gaming is getting to be a bit expensive but for some games there's just no other way...
    Currently Playing:
    - Metroid Prime
    - GTA: Vice
    - Miss World '96 Nude

  8. Just had to say, lovely sig sleeveboy. (even if it is widening the forums just a tad)

  9. I know a few import shops in LA, but none up in Washington, as I dont live there.

It's not too long, is it? I already had to shrink it once so it wouldn't be too egregious. The board template looks fine full-screen, if that matters.
