Thread: Games that have defeated YOU!

  1. Most shooters I complain about the slow characters for a while, then get used to it and shut up. I'm happy with Tavia, and Morrigan's noticeably faster in Gunbird 2, so I'm covered.
    Raiden Fighters (2, specifically) is the only game wher I've found ships that are too fast. Some crazy speed ones in there.

  2. damn alot of games defeat me

    cause even though i love playing videogames I am just not very good at them

    but here are just a couple

    Alien Soldier - this game makes me its bitch. I have only got past the 1st level once

    Dynamite Heady - It wasnt to difficult up until the level ( which i think is the last ), where you have to go up that tower with that cat guy chasing you, I must have tried for 3 hours and for some reason just couldnt beat it .... i will go back

    Guilty Gear X - just on normal difficult, I get about 4 guys in and then I can never beat the 4th guy no matter who it is

    Street Fighter 3rd Strike : Not so bad up until the last boss, boy is he a bitch

    Vagrant Story - this game is just to complicated for me, which is unfortunate, cause it looks so damn cool

  4. Battletoads is beatable... it just takes tons and tons of practice. I beat it after 2 years of work way back in the day with no cheats or warping, when I was a young un with no money and nothing better to do. I don't think I could ever do it again though, in fact I will not even get near that game anymore because I now hate it with a passion for all the pain it put me through. (Fucking snake levels)

  5. Red Faction just recently whupped me. I can't find the interest to keep trying the same last level over and over again. And, how the hell were you supposed to find out that you had to get the organs in the hospital and bring them to the operating room? There's no clue in the game for that, aside from "the administrator has a keycard." I must have spent two days trying to shoot my way into the damn administrator's office.

    Target Earth, Contra HC, Batman & Robin, all whupped me as well. Gradius 4 was a bitch too.

    Man alive, that's only the halfway point. The game gets utterly impossible after that level, and the only way I could get to the ending is with save state/load state abuse.

    Yeah, I said I used Tavia, but I've gone and switched over to Morrigan. She has the perfect speed.

    I've always used Aine and the controls have never been a problem for me.....I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

    Heh, I figured it out because Metal Harbor was one of the only levels I actually liked in the game, so I played several times.

    This, along with City Escape are among the few levels in which I actually cared enough to get all A's.

    My hat goes of to you for this feat. I truly think that is the only way to beat this. I often wondered if it was the only game I owned what I could do. But, those days are long gone and self torture is not my bag. 2 years of hard work sounds about right.
