Who shows more disdain: Console gamers or PC gamers?

Andy787 (I think that's right) touched on this topic in another thread. Really, who do you feel is more abusive towards the other group?

A general trend that seems to be occuring is that each camp feels the other is more abusive. There's never really any solid evidence proving one side to be worse then the other.

Sure, I can recall many an issue of CGW blasting consoles (with the exception of the DC; I could never understand that), in a most infantile maner. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure there has been a ton of console specific magazines doing the exact same thing.

Thoughts? (Retail experiences are always welcome.)

Definitely the PC people; I've never seen a console magazine talk slanderously about PCs.

PC gamers. There are so many anti-console fuckers out there it's not even funny. I have virtually boycotted buying PC game magazines because I don't want to give money to such idiots.

In just magazines, I'd have to say PC people.

For gamers as a whole, PC gamers tend to be more jaded while console gamers tend to just ignore PC and everything related. They (console) aren't really hateful so much as they couldn't give a rat's ass, but many purely PC gamers only play strategy games, FPS', or MMORPGs, and nothing on console really matches what the PC can do in terms of those (see, there's an ironic example right there). Along with that, if you're used to the resolution on a PC, playing console games is hell on the eyes, which leads to further jading.

Console gamers (and I'm more of a console gamer myself than a PC gamer). It's really hard for me to find someone who's into games that will talk about PC games, especially the hardcore console gamers. The minute I say something about PC games it's like they turn into big ugly trolls. Honestly, I'm not saying PC gamers are much better, especially the PC gaming press, but I find far less sheer hate, apathy, and/or disrespect about the other from PC gamers as opposed to console gamers.

PC Gamers definately, why... because most console gamers use computers while they prefer console games they have played PC games and usually don't hate the PC in general. PC Gamers avoid consoles and usually don't play them if they can help it, it used to be PC games where much more mature then console games which they considered more like toys, but it is alot different these days

I don't hate PC's, I just can't keep up with upgrading my computer to run the newer games so eventually I end up not being able to play anything but my older games

Keep in mind, I'm definitely not referring to the general TNL poster, most of you guys are respectful and see both sides of the table, this is just what I've observed from everyday Joe Gamer.

Well.... I've never read a PC game magazine. I've never talked to a PC gamer. So I don't know if they hate us. All I know is that I hate PC games. Going by my own personal dislike of PC games, I have to say I hate them more than they hate me.

Under normal circumstances, I would've skimmed over this topic. That was, of course, before I actually saw a PC ad that said this:

"There's 2 kinds of gamers. The ones that still play on consoles and the ones that have actually seen breasts."

PC get my vote.
