I actually managed to get stuck in Arc, supposedly one of the easiest strategy rpgs ever. I didn't level up enough, so I've gotta go do that for an hour or so before I can finish it.

Do you use status spells in Arc? If not, I suggest you try it. They work well, even against the final boss.

As for the update...Well, I've been playing Tales of Destiny as much as I can stomach lately, but I've finished nothing.

I do, the specific place I'm talking about is the post-fire guardian battle with only Arc and Kukuru. The first time I got there, they both died before I even had a turn. Not particularly fun. The second time, they died after I had one turn :P Basically, I have to go level up, which I did for awhile (my second attempt) but it still wasn't enough. And since I'm sick and leveling in Arc is godawfully boring (particularly Kukuru), I still haven't beaten it

I might as well tell ya since you're trying to put a big dent in this game by year's end. "Epong" should be at the top of the Intelligence rankings, dunno if you remember or not, but he's one of the Bandits from the lair south of Dharma. He's got the hat.

Score two more for me! I axed both Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Final Fantasy V today (er... yesterday).

In FFV, I leveled up, and managed to beat Omega. I was feeling confident, so I went and picked a fight with Shinryu. He slapped me around, called me a little bitch, and had his way with me. I don't have the patience with this game to level up some more and steal the Dragon Lances I need to beat him, so I'm calling this one done. I did beat X-Death and see the ending, though.

Same with Zelda... I beat Onyx and got my password for Ages, but I'm missing two heart pieces (the randomly-found ones) and my ring collection could be better, but I think that's enough for now.

Yeah, I just remembered after Sharkeye took me to Dharma. I remembered seeing that name on the rankings and envisioning a Hork, and I thought "that can't be right".

Man, I just realized how close I am to the end, and my party consists of a Ranger (I can become a Hero once he's mastered that), a Godhand, a Mage (needs to do that, then Cleric, then Sage to become a Summoner) and a Sage, who will most likely never become an Advanced class (thanks, Maribel!). I have a ton of levelling up to do, or I have a feeling the last boss is going to cream me. The downside is that fighting Madbooks totally sucks, becuase they kick my ass with that annoying SleepAll spell.

Updated. I'm distracted from my stack at the moment by a Legend of Mana project. If it pans out, I'll make a more extensive post about it later. Need to con Masaka into doing some coding for me first

Strider: Nope - I have to fight down the urge to get access periodically. There's a few people here that rub me the wrong way, so I know I'd waste way too much time doing nothing but flaming if I did get in. I'll stick to 'constructive' threads like this one

I'm really looking forward to my Christmas vacation. No work = time to knock several titles off the pile

Well, I guess techincally I'm supposed to be spending time with my family. But we can spend time together in front of the television, right?

I had a nice gaming mini-marathon yesterday. Note: from now on, just like my gametracker list, I'm putting the games I actually finish in bold.

First, I knocked off Ys Book I-II. This took awhile since I hadn't played it in so long and some areas (like Solomon's Shrine and the Canals) are really tough to navigate.

Next, I blazed through Mega Man X. It's not on my pile because I've owned it for a long time, and I pretty much know it inside-out and have beaten it lots of times. X2 is next. I'm pretty excited, 'cause I've never played it before.

Then, I hooked up the NES and played Dragon Warrior IV until 3 in the morning. I just completed the Gardenbur quest, if that's any indication where I am in the game. I hadn't played this since last spring, when I bought Radiant Silvergun. God, I wish I could control my character manually!
