Finally got my life back! Maximo has been defeated. :)

So, I just finished Maximo and now I'm free to not play Maximo. All I have to say is: Wow, game of the year! That's coming from a guy who HATES 3D platformers. The controll in this one was so great I felt like I was in 2D again. I was free to bound around instinctively instead of carefully lining up jumps. A first for me in 3D.

One thing that puzzles me is that I've heard so many people say this game was hard. I dunno about you guys, but I thought this game was a cakewalk next Ghouls and Ghosts and even relatively easy taken on its own. Nothing ever really stopped me, and once I was able to lock a few key offensive items nobody could touch me. I've also heard people whine about the cammera. I thought the cammera was great! Not one death to blame on it. It was only a nusance in the rose garden maze.

And that final boss fight: Damn, was that a cool atmoshphere or what! Perfect and much more creepy than I would have immagined with how the rest of the game went. And the little "tribute" Capcom gave in the lower window while the credits rolled was just too much.

I'm playing through it right now, I just got to the fourth world. Damn what a great game. I can't remember the last time I'd (yes, I know its lame) talk to a game so much. C'mon! Fuck! Bitch! and the ultra lame fist pump are used when I play it. I heart Maximo.

It took you a while though. I beat it in one rental back in February. Very cool game, First of 2 last bosses is very cheap, especially with that regain whole health back move, but last boss was TOO EASY. It was like, Thats It?

Still a great game, and one of the best on PS2 and Capcom.

Maximo is the third best game on the PS2, behind only Devil May Cry and Grand Theft Auto III.

The last boss was there for it's concept and atmosphere only...the previous boss was the real hard one.

And I didn't think it was hard at all and I am completely devoid of any video game skill.

It's too bad that the boss fights were so uninspired. Each and every boss was ridiculously easy, employing only 2 or 3 basic patterns.

The only boss fight that was even remotely well done was the final battle in the dark. Still that was much more a gimmick than an all out battle.

It's a shame really. The boss fights are a huge blemish on an otherwise great game.

Opens up a gallery mode. Kind of cool, except the damn pictures load really slowly.

Yeah, I had all kisses too Had about 90 complete or so, but wasnt really in the mood to go for a 100% completion.
