Feh, someone still needs to do an over the top arcade racer now. Something like Wild Riders, but with racing against opponants, crazy power sliding, all kinds of other stuff. Like the Cruis'n, or Rush games... but good.

Well they never did say it was like Ridge Racer, but it isn't as much a sim as GT3 ether... I don't like the Ridge Racer series that much anyway, so something between Ridge Racer and GT3 suits me just fine![]()

A is for action
I'm still gonna pick it up (the domestic release atleast).
And doesn't famitsu rate the games out of 10? Cause I would think 9,7,7,7 would be pretty good then.
I had this one pegged as a must play arcade racer. If it even smells like GT3, I am not touching it. Capcom of Japan is quickly becoming good for horror games and nothing else, and that saddens me.![]()
I agree with most of the posters so far... if this game ends up like Yawn Turismo I'll be taking a pass on it. I hate that game... I like tonnes of racing games (MSR, Le Mans, Sega Rally, Daytona, etc)... Just not GT style games (yaaawwwn). The thing is, the screenshots for this game look so great.. so I really really do hope it turns out well!
Also: How important is the online play? Is it just as worthwhile to play offline?
Also2: Is this game coming to Gamecube as well? I remember reading something but I have not heard anything in ages. I'm probably getting a PS2 before GCN, but it'd nice to know...
I can't see why everyone hates Gran Turismo... oh wait it is mainstream
But really Gran Turismo has an arcade style mode for those who don't like the simulation mode, unless you just like cars that handle like you are driving in the snow when you are on dry pavement I don't see what is wrong![]()
Gran Turismo is boring, that's why I hate it. I don't see what's so fun about car collecting and messing around with car settings.
GT is more of a game that awards with accomplishments and mastery to me anways. It seemed more arcadey based on looks alone but I hope Hero's right about it not being too much like GT.
Some people enjoy it, you could make the same argument for collecting bikinis (and other accessories) in those 3D volleyball games...Originally posted by Sidez
