Putting it in CS terms, I consider "hardcore" to be a boolean rather than integer value. That is to say, you either are or are not. Anyone who speaks of it in terms of quantity is just a pompous ass trying to feel better about being a bigger nerd than someone else. Further, I no longer use the term myself, as it has basically been usurped by just such morons; I've come to think of myself as an "enthusiast gamer."

1) I once shaved my chest hair in the triangle pattern that Zangief and Blanka have! (I have mentioned this before)
2) I practice martial arts 2+ hours a day...and I still suck!
3) I love Treasure games!
4) (when no one is looking) I sneak around hallways in my office like Solid Snake! Someday I will get my bosses' dog tags...
