I had a shit house yellow diamond run, got PWNED in the armada a bunch of times, and I got chomped by one of those big ruffians on Hokkaido beach.
But... I managed to bring up my hits, and that's all that matters!

Yay, another active player!

Like Mister DAN, I'd been making too many stupid mistakes, so I stopped playing for a little while. But I felt like playing today, did a run, and ended up with ~84.4 million. A shame I didn't get the Perfect Bonus; I would have almost broken 90mil.

I think that run is the best I've ever done at not getting hit... I didn't get hit until Brad & Leda, and I got all the way from the second Mole Seemer to just before the Larva Seemer without getting hit.

My time that run was 49:29... why is my time so much lower than Monkey's and DAN's?

Is there a way to kill all the enemies Kachua summons? I'm not getting enough HITs on that level, and I have a feeling it's because of that particular section.

(Side note: when Kachua summons the ring of enemies, you can get her to summon replacements if you kill them fast enough. I usually get one extra, but I managed two once. How many do you get?)

What is the highest number of hits you have ever had after defeating 'Near Zero' at the end of 1-1?

Almost 650, if I recall correctly. I may have gotten higher and not noted it, though, but I get around 635-640 on average.

If you start shooting the ring of Kachua summoned enemies slightly off center to the right and then moving inward to the center of the screen while still shooting, you can usually take out two cronies and get them replaced before kachua starts spinning them around with her MAD AKIRA-ESQUE PSYKO POWAZ!!!!!1111

The Jabu Jabu's Belly dungeon in Master Quest was REALLY odd...

Okay... anyway... what's your strategy before that, when she throws like 50+ guys at you? I usually stay on one side, and shoot as many as I can while slicing whenever straglers fall near me.

On 1-2, I can get about 200 HITs by Radan, then I get about 70 from Kachua's first mad attack, and end up with about 300 by the end. To get 70, I just sweep the cursor back and forth, focusing on where the most enemies are coming from, and walking side to side to move it faster. That's the only spot I miss a notable number of enemies, and improving there is the only way I can think of to reach Valgar's target 320 HIT.

Haven't posted in a while... And I am starting to NEED to play this game again... Almost done with Wind Waker.

I just have a question, not sure if anyone would know the answer...

I need to know the name of the artist who is responsible for much of Treasures production art, namely S&P and Ikaruga... It looks like the same artist, and I love the style... Does anyone know who that is?

I'm getting fed up with not being able to improve 'cause I'm not playing it regularly enough. I need a better score. I almost beat my old score just now, even though I wasn't doing a very good run, but I let one of those huge fireballs through and missed the Perfect Bonus. Gyah!

The lowest HIT on my high score table for normal is 2800... I just turned on S&P to check what the lowest score was, a message in Japanese popped up when it came on but I didn't notice it until right when I hit start, so I didn't have any time to read it, and now all my saved data is gone. ;_;
