  1. MvC2 Is A No Skill, Button Mashing Scrub Fest, And About As Deep As A Mud Puddle...

Actually, I lied. Like many other games which people toss off as being button mashers, shallow, requiring no skills, etc., it is all about what you put into it. I just got a new copy for DC recently, and quite frankly, it is a lot of fun. Have not had much chance to play the CPU, as my sister has been playing it almost non-stop since I opened it, so I only get to play versus her, and she has been kicking my arse, due to the amount of time she has been able to put into it.

What is a good starting team for someone just getting into the game?

  2. Lame. Thread mislabeling is frowned upon here.

  3. Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

    Oh God man.

Thanks for the needed Laugh I swear to god that made my entire night.

As far as good starting teams, I'm sure MrWhiteFolks and MarkRyan can get you on your way.

Great to see you posting here bud.

  4. ... Well, at least you got things right in the title...

Actually, no. I cant say that. But the entire game, when played by people who know what theyre doing, is based around glitches and taking advantage of them. Getting hit by one striker can mean the end of a match.

Its a one on one fighter, not Rainbow fucking Six. Id rather not have one, tiny screw up mean the loss of a match, thank you.
So I forced my hands in my pockets and felt with my thumbs and gallantly handed her my very last piece of gum.

  5. Some solid teams to use based upon tournament matches:

    Sent/Cable/Storm
    Mag/Cable/Cammy
    Cable/Strider/Doom
    Mag/Cable/Sent

Mark Ryan surely can tell you of others too.

  6. I don't think people here labelled it as not fun, more just really screwed-up and highly unbalanced. It is fun, but still isn't better then XMvsSF when it comes to the Crossover series.

  7. #7
You should have stuck with the subject. It was about as accurate as it gets.

  8. Very highly unbalanced. I have 2 friends that swear to god its the greatest fighting game ever made and still play it religiously. Although pretty much no one cares about it anymore, they just don't want to believe it.

  9. A bit OT, but while we're on the subject of fighters: Can somebody give me some tips on how to defeat akuma's air hurricane kick with birdie in alpha 3? Akuma's air hurricane kick seems to stop anything in it's path and my poor old birdie has no move to defeat it when it is coming down at me from a 45 degree angle from above..

This guy at the arcade who only uses akuma and does the same thing all the time (jump forward, air hurricane kick, smack!! birdie gets nicked by akumas toe, falls over, and gets 3 to 4 hits on the way down to the ground from all the extra cheap hits that move does. even worse: the opponent is now ready to attack again after his feet touch the ground; possibly behind me instead of front, and I'm sitting there helpless because I can't move - or I just move too slowly from all the hitstun/block stun that all these little hits are causing me. Then the guy just repeats that same thing over and over again until I'm dead, sometimes mixing other stuff up with it that doesn't work and then resorting to the 'air hurricane from above' move.)

Akuma's air hurricane kick is a pain in the ass! I don't think birdie has an anti-air normal move to defeat it. What are you supposed to use against it that will work consistantly and won't trade hits?
    (using Zism btw)

  10. The new PSM actually has a preview of the game calling it "one of the deepest 2D fighters ever" or something like that... i was waiting for someone to comment on that.
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.
