DaveSS, I use Adobe Premier as my capture program and the ATI TV Wonder VE as my capture card (I'm currently running Windows 2K as my OS).
I first record the demonstrations to videotape (this way I can play on my TV without any distraction) set to SP recording. I then have a second VCR plugged into my PC which I pop the tape into, cue it up and then capture a segment in Premier (uncompressed video for Windows format in 640 x 480 res at 44.1 kHz audio, roughly 250 Megs per minute).
I compress to the AVI MPEG4 hack using MP3 audio compression (which keeps the files down around 8 Megs per minute). After that I just upload them to my page.
BTW, DaveSS, you may want to watch out for that UCG-Trial guy on the net rankings.
