Why i lose interest in real car based racers

with every Gran Turismo and other racer based on real cars i always wait till it hits the GH stat us or 20 bucks which ever comes first and this is why

i can not stand the car selection

at least the first GT was better about it but 3 and now auto modellista has got to have one of the WORST selection of cars

how many fucking versions of the celica, civic and z do we need really

theres just not enough american made cars in these games not enough at all IMHO

sure i love the viper its my fav car of all fucking time

but liek in GT3 i cant buy one yet i have to race with cars i car nothing for to buy one i like and i just dont have the interest in the cars to do it

i just cant

we can have 20 versions of the civic and celica and the Z but they cant include something like the Grand Prix, or the Charger or Thunderbird or the Cougar or the Firebird or the prowler or about 20 other kick ass american cars i LIKE and would be interested in racing

this has got to be my biggest beef with these games i just can not stand the car selection in them

supposedly Sega GT 2002 will have a nice selection of american muscle cars so im buying that when i get an Xbox one day

and i know people say test drive but i dont know i dont like the series but ill have to give the new one a try cause it seems to have alot of american cars in it

i guess what im saying is if there was say a Gran Turismo Concept USA or a shit load more american cars in Gran Turismo 4 id be all for those games or if they put more american cars in Auto Modellista id be more psyched for it

any one who has Sega GT on the DC does it have american cars OTHER than the Viper and Vette in it

at least the one for the Xbox seems to have alot of older fords (jeebus please include GM and Mopar cars too )

god id love to see a racing game have an old Super Bee in it with a fucking hemey (spelling) engine in it

There's like 100 cars in the game and you're complaining there aren't enough? Let's have some perspective, man! If they'd put as many cars into GT3 as the previous games, it still wouldn't be out. Those models take a heck of a long time to build, never mind getting the feel of the car right (don't forget, they actually go and drive all of these).

You want more American cars? (why?) They've said the goal is to have every car ever made playable one day, so just wait, and your Pinto, Merkur and Gremlin driving dreams will come true. In the meantime, just enjoy all the stuff they do have. If it ever feels like it isn't enough, go play Sega Rally or Daytona...that'll put things in persective.

no fucking shit the models take time to build and yes theres alot of cars in there but its 97 japanese cars to 3 FUCKING AMERICAN Ones

im sorry but i have no interest in the 5 versions of the fairlady z or the 4 versions of the civic or celica how about for ever 2 less versions of the same car you give me 1 more fucking american car then ill be happy

The game was developed in Japan, so for the sake of expediency, if they had to drive the cars to get the feel right, they had to settle for what they could get their hands on in quickly terms of production cars. Remember, this game was over a year late as it was.

I agree, I was pretty suprised at how many were left out, but on the other hand, I don't think low to mid-range American cars are very interesting (the Mustang is the only thing I can see myself driving) so I wasn't all that bothered by it. I was more put off by the lack of Lamborghini, Porsche and Ferrari (hello!) than the fact that I couldn't drive a Mercury Sable or whatever.

In GT3, there were 85 cars from Japan, 20 from the U.S., 17 from Germany, 13 from the U.K., 5 from France, 5 from Italy, 1 from Belgium, and 1 from Australia. Well, according to the game's Car Dealer feature, at least.

I think the people who prefer cars produced in Australia and Belgium are the only ones that should be complaining here.

theres plenty of mid-range sports cars that would fit perfectly in the Civic and Celica range that can be tweaked just as much as those cars

i mean shit the Grand Prix GTP 2 door would fit soo fucking perfectly in the game

hell they had some weird vanish like car forget what in the first GT so put the PT Crusier in there

thats just a few american cars i think would go well in GT or any other racer

all of them are comparable to things like the civic and celica and other cars they have in there
