  1. Arcade games that never made it home

    The thread title says it all. What are the games never made it home that really should have? Let's not limit this to games that never got ported at all. Games that never made it home in their orriginal form also count like Double Dragon. No, that mess of a Genesis port doesn't count.

    Personally, I'd still love to see Punchout and Super Punchout come home. To this day the graphics still hold up (Just gave it a few quarters in the godly State College Playland over the weekend) and the play controll is just as fun as ever. I know we have Mike Tyson on the NES and SNES Superpunchout, but the two arcade orriginals have a feel that is almost 100% different. Some day I might have to track down the PCB's and just play without the health bar on the top monitor (that I don't own).

  6. Seems like its mostly beat-em-ups that haven't been brought home...

    3 shmups I want brought home:

    -Zero Gunner 1

    -Ultimate Ecology

    -Dimahoo

  7. No... Final Fight never quite got it right. The closest is the GBA and it's missing animation and is redrawn for lower resolution.

    I agree on the Simpsons. It is a crime that never came home. Same with the orriginal TMNT. The NES attempt was a valient effort, but....it's the NES.

    I'd love to see Ninja Baseball Batman. I've never encountered it in an arcade and am quite currious. It is on my PCB most wanted list.

  8. -Double Dragon 3. The ports were absolute puke.
    -X-Men. Not the Capcom one, the 6-player Konami version.
    -Battletoads. Owns the NES versions for free.

  10. Chibi said it right. Even though there are many versions of Final Fight released on consoles, none of them was ARCADE PERFECT.

    And speaking about shumps not released for home consoles:
