Anyone getting Animal Crossing?

I'll have to wait until after Christmas. There's just too damn many good games coming between Oct. and Dec.

I have a feeling my wife is going to seize my Game Cube once she sees it though...

This is the only game I plan on buying from now until the end of the year. Looks like a keeper to me.

I've been wanting this game since the N64 version...I almost imported it, until they announced the GC version....then I almost got the GC import, until they confirmed a U.S. release...now in 1.5 weeks, it'll be finally here. I preordered from EBWorld one day when they had free one day shipping on it so no worries there. I skipped reading a lot of previous detailed journals since they contained too many spoilers, but IGN's review today has got me psyched more than ever.

The only problem is, I won't know anyone around here who will have it and thus won't be able to visit other villages, although I guess I can use another memory card for another village. It would also be great to keep a thread going here for people wanting to trade items.

I also find it interesting a lot of reviews say hardcore gamers may be put off by it's lack of objectives or action, but would think it would refer more to mainstream sheeple. I think any gaming enthusiast would be bound to enjoy a new and unique gaming experience.

I'm planning on getting it sometime later this year. Among the games I'm planning to get, they either take precendence (IE, get immediately) or go to the backburner (get whenever). This will be part of the latter, definitely. There's just so much good stuff coming out at the same time I want even more than this.

I'm definately looking forward to it. To me it looks like it'll be a cross between The Sims and Harvest Moon, which are two other games I enjoy. I'll probably pick it up a week after its released...

I always enjoy those screwball translations Nintendo pulls out here and there.

If anything, I want the soundtrack.

Ah the E-Reader. Damn, after Sunshine, Monkey Ball 2, & Ikaruga, I thought I would be done with big spending. Damn you Nintendo for finally releasing good content on a consistent basis.
