Mario sells 50% more cubes

This is refreshing news in light of the not so great way it's sold in Japan. I love the way Shinki Mikami recently ripped into Japanese gamers saying they have no taste or sense of variety.

Seriously though, I've played 2 GC games since I finished with the launch titles: RE & Mario. I've been playing my Xbox all the time. This is just me of course and I'm sure there are people here who love their little purple boxes (I'm really getting into mine, now that some decent games are finally being released sooner than one every 3 months).

or you could go by general sales and realise that the GC has more Million Sellers on its system allready than the Xbox has (all of 1 with Halo, though i think DOA3 is close or about there now)

Very true.

Again, I'm just speaking for myself. SSBM was a million seller. for example, and doesn't interest me in the slightest, so....


I'm trying to look at what's coming for GC rather than at what's already out. Mario is the first of about 6 games I want that are coming out from August on, so hopefully my GC will now get the playtime it didn't get last year.

Go Gamecube!! In the past week I've seen a kid and a college student with freshly bought Gamecubes during two separate incidents. Amazing. It's very rare at all to see a person with any newly bought console on the street but I saw two freshly bought Gamecubes. The funny thing was that the college kid bought Mario Sunshine, while the little kid got Spy Hunter. Somehow I shouldn't act like I'm surprised because I'm really not...

Too bad Nintendo can't push Metroid up to October and Zelda to November. They'd have one nice Christmas.

Then again, it's too bad Sunshine wasn't out at launch.
