    Einhander

    I noticed this board was lacking a topic for this underapreciated shooter, so I thought I would pay homage to one of my favorite PS One games by creating one. Although many people don't like the 2.5D gameplay, I for one think it is pretty nifty. What does everyone else think of Einhander?

    It's one of the few shooting games that I can play, I love it.

  3. Funny this comes up as I just finish my search for this game. I've been looking for it for a long long time, and 88mph let me borrow his copy. Good Times.

  4. I got this game a couple moneths back. Good stuff. I need to play it more, but now its gonna have to wait til I can pry myself from Ikaruga's talons.

  5. I didn't like it too much. Everything seems too large and the ship felt clunky. I'm not fond of these kind of shooters and if I had to play one, I'd go with an R-Type.

    I have Einhander and I like it but I don't play it often and I haven't beaten it yet. I love the atmosphere in the game, especially the cyberpunk look of the first level.

    I keep going back to Raiden Project and I keep neglecting my other PS shooters.

    The ship's not clunky... did you know you could change your speed up and down with the shoulder buttons? I hope you didn't try to play through the game at the slowest speed setting; that would really suck.

  8. Great game. I really enjoyed it... it was challenging, but beatable with a bit of practice. It also had an incredibly soundtrack, which I happen to own.

  9. I still need this game. And Skullmonkeys. One guy I know has Einhander, so maybe I should see if he'll sell it.

  10. Great soundtrack, nice weapons, some really great bosses later on, and one of the greatest final boss battles in any shooter.

    Unfortunately, I found that I really prefered the hidden weapons to the regular guns, and my save file has been destroyed (damn 3rd party cards!). Everytime I pick it up I put it right back because I don't want to play without my railgun and super vulcan.

    Probably why I started liking shooters in which you're limited to a single weapon or two, I prefer the focus.
