I was kicked out of a Christian school when I was in the 1st grade. I was getting in trouble a lot for sleeping during mass (or whatever you call it) and then one day when I was suposed to read aloud from the Bible is class I refused, the teacher wouldn't let me do that so I decided to throw the damn book across the room as said something like "I'm not reading this bullshit again, once was enough damnit!". The next day I was expelled and I had to repeat the 1st grade the next year in public school.

With that out of the way, let me kick this off by saying that I did not mean "forgive" as in exemption from sin. It had nothing to do with confessional. Remember the Bible, Rich? That book you base your faith on? Right. Well, passages such as "'Vengeance is mine,' sayeth the Lord," lessons we were taught, like the prodigal son, little notes from the son of God himself that went along the lines of "Judge not, lest ye be judged..." I guess were forgetting about all of that.

Priests are there to serve as a spiritual leader, not judge and jury. The fact that the book the religion is based on carries no weight here makes it hypocrisy. You cannot preach some of it when it supports your side, and then take whatever action your temper leads you to when it doesnt. If thats the way you are, then you are a hypocrite. Its really fairly simple.

Perhaps if those in charge actually cared about whats written, the Catholic church wouldnt be in the sad state it is right now.

This is one of Orochis chief qualms with organized religion. No one pays attention to what theyre supposed to unless it works for their argument.

I cant count the number of times when I've heard something like "Oh I didnt see that" or "I didnt read that" when somebody went into my EB trying to return something past the policy.
