Thread: Compare These Multi-Platform Releases...

  1. Compare These Multi-Platform Releases...

Which platform has the best version of each game?

    Spy Hunter:

    PS2
    GameCube
    X-Box

    SEGA Soccer Slam:

    GameCube
    PS2
    X-Box

    Crazy Taxi:

    DreamCast
    GameCube
    PS2

    18 Wheeler:

    DreamCast
    PS2
    GameCube

  2. PS2
    Dunno
    DC

  3. 1.PS2

2.Depends. The GC version looks slightly better than the Xbox version(Motion blur...) but the Xbox version has a bunch of extras not found on the GC version.

    3.DC

  4. I hear the Gamecube version of Crazy Taxi has less slowdown than the DC version, but I've never played it.

Playing Soccer Slam on anything but the Gamecube is punishable by blurry visuals and shitty controller configurations. Go Gamecube.

    Spy Hunter:

    PS2

    SEGA Soccer Slam:

X-Box (only for the extras they've added)

    Crazy Taxi:

DreamCast (it's the principle of the thing)

    18 Wheeler:

    DreamCast (see Crazy Taxi)

To be honest, I'm not sure about Crazy Taxi and 18 Wheeler but no review has stated it's better than on DC so....

I've played Crazy Taxi on a PS2 in a store. The game look nearly identical, but there is some Anti-Aliasing issues with the PS2 version. One could blame Activision for a lazy port, but the PS2 does'nt have built in Anti-aliasing either. Have'nt played the PS2 version of 18-Wheeler.

  8. Spy Hunter is definately best on Xbox, it looks as good as the Cube version and has tons of extras like the original arcade game

Soccer Slam is best on GameCube, because a few last minute useless extra characters don't make up for shittier graphics and control

Crazy Taxi and 18 wheeler I've heard are better on Cube but I don't know because I haven't played the Cube versions

  9. Spy Hunter-Dunno, only time I played it was for 5 minutes at Sears.

Soccer Slam-Once again, dunno. I guess I'd say Xbox if it has extra characters. I could care less about the graphics and I actually like the Xbox controller.

Crazy Taxi-What would you prefer? An inferior port of Crazy Taxi that will cost you at least $30 or an excellent port of Crazy Taxi that will cost you about $10 or possibly just a few paperclips? DC.

18 Wheeler Pro Trucker-See Crazy Taxi. I wouldn't buy it either way but whatever floats your boat....
    They call me Heatmiser
    and whatever I touch
starts to melt in my clutch
    I'm too much!

  10. 18 Wheeler is exactly the same on Cube and DC.
