Caffinated drinks (coffee, pop) seem to have the opposite effect on me. I get more sleepy. Maybe thats because I started drinking coffee when I was seven... I've noticed that the energy drinks can's are pretty cool looking.
Two p's, I think. The Double Shots are alright - overly creamy, though, almost to the point of greasiness. Espresso really has that effect on you? I usually order triple espressos at coffee places, and they've never had much effect on me - no more than a venti sized coffee. Red Bull's caffeine hits me much harder than a gulped-down triple espresso, definitely.Originally posted by Mman
I prefer the new Starbucks Double Shots. They are not really an energy drink, just a highly caffenated version of the Frapuccinos (sic i am sure).
well, they give quite a burst of energy and they dont taiste bad at all (if you like Frapuccinos). And unlike actual shots of expresso the effects only last on me for a couple of hours. When I drink an actual expresso I stay awake for a couple of days and do a lot of handstands and shit.

Red Bull kicks ass. It doesn't give me an energy boost at all, but I love the taste of that stuff. I had a Red Bull with Vodka on Friday. I got quite buzzed.
I heard people have died from those Red Bull + Vodka drinks. That's just what I heard though. I love RB, taste like candy.
Hmmm I sorta wanna try one of these things now.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
This whole "Red Bull is dangerous" thing is mostly hype - one can of Red Bull has as much caffeine as one 8oz cup of coffee.
That's all, Red Bull is no different from and certainly no worse than coffee. You get a buzz from Red Bull because you can chug it; you usually can't chug coffee, and if you could, you probably wouldn't.
Both sugar and carbonation aids in the absorption of alcohol, so you'll feel a Red Bull + Vodka's alcohol faster than you would feel the alcohol in a shot of vodka. Same thing goes for a Jack and Coke, a bottle of demi-sec champagne, whatever.
Caffeine and alcohol tend to cause dehydration - the combination, over time, might cause a problem, though I doubt it.
A Red Bull and Vodka drunk at a normal pace offers no more danger than an Irish Coffee or a Whiskey and Coke (with Jolt Cola) drunk at the same pace.

I drank that red bull once when I got just a few hours of sleep and had to go on a trip. They taste like crap, but I also could not quit bouncing around for a couple of hours.
I tried buying one of these the other day, and the jiffy store clerk asked for an ID. I haven't heard of it being a law or anything, and I found it kinda strange that you have to be 18 to buy it, yet they place it by the fruit juices...
