Actually, if you haven't figured it out yet, you can always take the teleporter back to the lab. If you beat the Elephant boss though, a significant portion of the lab will not be accessible but there is something worthwhile for you to go back for.Originally posted by Hero
It's tough as nails. Especially the mission that revisits the lab. I beat the boss, but then the doors close, the ceiling begins to collapse, and I see an elf case on one of the falling slabs. Um....yipe. But if I can't revisit that stage after finishing the mission, maybe I shouldn't go to it until later.
Phantom was mildly tough but Harpuia was a pain if you didn't use the right weapon on him. I died far more times against Harpuia than anyone else.I'm surprised no one has mentioned how hard Phantom is. That punk is even tougher than the final boss.
I love the storyline for this game, and reading Blade Runner right now, I'm digging that too. I wonder if 2D4ever likes MMX/MMZ.![]()

I finished MMZ yesterday (take that pile of shame!!). I only had to finish the last 3 levels because that's where I had left off last time I got distracted. I had not played the game in a few months and it took me a whole to get used to the contols again.
My opinion after finishing the game was that it was a very good game. It was challenging but not nearly as hard as some people made it out to be. I didn't even use the Cyber-Elves that much/well and it was not that hard for me.
It was insanely challenging in the beginning of the game - but once you got used to the control scheme and levelled up your weapons (tedious) it got easier. The first few bosses were really really difficult though. I found the last level to be very interesting because you had to fight all of the bosses again before getting to X, and this time around those seemingly impossible bosses were super-easy to thrash!I guess that shows was just a matter of getting skilled (and powered-up) in the game... All in all I thought it was an excellent game. Challenging but not too difficult. The graphics, control, and game design were all excellent. My only gripes are that the game is a bit too unbalanced in the beginning and that levelling up can be tedious. I hope those issues were addressed in the sequel (which is already out in Japan but comes out in NA on 6 October).
Now that I finished I checked out some FAQs to see if there are any secrets and I see there are a whole bunch of other modes you can play once you have defeated it. I am wondering if anyone here has tried it out and - if so - what they think of them. I don't think I am going to bother, at least not now... I'd rather keep hammering away at the pile of shame for a while.
Anyways, what did everyone else think of this game?
How can you live like that? How do you sleep at night?

Sorry, I have no time for games that I don't like to play -- especially when I've got school and other things to deal with. I actually don't sell very many of my games -- but MMZ was an exception.
Lhadatt, I had no idea you had weaksauce running though your veins...![]()
I'm just going to say it again: The sequel is cooler than is even necessary. If you thought the first one was great, you'll piss yourself when you play the second.
Boo, Hiss.
Bah. They should play these games before sending them to market. MMZ needs balancing.Originally posted by sggg

I did actually get through the beginning and to (if I recall correctly) the mission select, where the girl asks Zero to go on teh mission of the day or whatever. I my save game only had one life left on it or something, and it just got irritating after that. So I got rid of it. I got just about as much as I paid for it, so as far as I can see, you people are the only ones that have a problem with this.![]()
