Thread: Megaman Zero

  1. #51
I got this game about a month ago and beat it. It is probably my favorite GBA game out. Those dumb cyber fairies are POORLY DONE (you can only fuklly charge about 2 of the GOOD ones, and it makes your ranks worse) and the 2 extra weapons besides z-saber and buster also sucked. Basically what this game told we was that if Capcom redoes everything they fucked up in zero 1 in zero 2, it will be one hell of a megaman game (x3 is still my fav )

Oh yea, and zero was fuckin easy, I got to the last level with all 9 lifes, the ONLY challenge was finding all thoughs damn bombs at the end

  2. I didn't really think the game was that tough. Which is strange because I don't really think I'm hardCORE or anything...

I still need to beat all 8 bosses in a row. It's the last boss after that right?

Bah. They should play these games before sending them to market. MMZ needs balancing.

I did actually get through the beginning and to (if I recall correctly) the mission select, where the girl asks Zero to go on teh mission of the day or whatever. I my save game only had one life left on it or something, and it just got irritating after that. So I got rid of it. I got just about as much as I paid for it, so as far as I can see, you people are the only ones that have a problem with this.
Well, like I said in my recap above - I agree about the balance problem. I almost got stuck where you did. I found those first missions damn near impossible at first and I got discouraged..... but after playing for a while longer it just clicked (or I got better) and the game got much easier from there on out.

  5. Megaman Zero was great. I think the various ARPG elements (weapon leveling up, interconnected overworld, NPCs) went a long way towards progressing the traditional MM concept as well. I didn't find the game too difficult either, even on my second time through without using any of the cyber-elves. Just like the classics, bosses were about learning patterns and finding the right element counter.

My only real complaint about the game was that using cyber-elves absolutely raped your scores and the level design was fairly mediocre. Hopefully both will be adressed in Zero 2.... yay for Capcom.

I don't feel bad for selling it. It went as a present to some kid. I'm sure he had a lot more fun with it.
