Absolutely, from what I'ved heard - that's considered a must-have by many, many Nintendo fans. And I am sure they'll go in detail why when they come upon this thread!

Today I was going threw some old game magazines and saw some pics of paper Mario, it looks pretty cool by this my curiosity got going. I haven’t heard to much about this game is it worth playing? Or is it a disappointment like yoshi's story? Only reason I say that it kinda looks like yoshi's story in a way.

Paper Mario is one of the best games ever made, it's worth it's weight in gold. It's basically an RPG only the gameplay and design is based on 2d Mario, so gameplay/combat is based on maneuvering Mario in 2d, it's unlike any other game. And it gives tons of backstory into the Mario characters, specifically Bowser and why he keeps going after the princess.... Fantastic game, everyone that hasn't checked it out yet should do so immediately, it's one of those games that only come along once in a great while.
yes, it it worth playing, even buying at the 50 dollar price.
what matt said. The thing is great from start to finish, and there are no conventional drags found in other RPGs - mopey teens, insane leveling up, et al.

PM is a must play if you own a Nintendo 64. In fact, aside from Mario 64, I can't think of a better game on the system. It's sure as hell better than the highly overrated Zelda games.
You can find it for about $20 now, and it's worth every penny.
