Thread: Why does my tv screen "pull" in the corners?

  1. Why does my tv screen "pull" in the corners?

i thought i'd put this q out there, since i know that somebody gonna have an answer for me...when i play some games (ps2, gc, or xbox) the the right corner of the screen kinda pulls in...it's not that big of a deal, but i've seen this happen on so many tv's i've always wondered what caused it, and if it could be alevated...my tv does have a geomagnetic adjustment, but that doesn't seen to do anything...thought may it had something to do with the picture setting, but i don't know...
    anybody?

  2. Welcome to the imperfections of the tube, there is nothing you can really do about it believe me I've tried since I even went through service mode myself and fine tuned mine as far as I could and still couldn't get rid of it... I am not sure if flat screens have this but I would believe that they wouldn't or at very least have alot less.

i have a panasonic tau, and i still get it...at least i know i'm not alone...

  4. Mine is a Panasonioc as well, it is a tube television PanaBlack (spelling close enough ) Tube which isn't flat but for glass tubes it is the flatest I've seen... I wonder if it is a problem with just Panasonics.

  5. I had the exact same problem. I found it most noticeable on vert games (dodon pach, psyvariar etc..) I did manage to fix it though by going into the "service mode" and altering the "v-bow" option.

    BTW, i have a Sony 21" wega

  6. Hm, once upon a time I owned a Toshiba flatscreen TV briefly and the entire right edge of the screen had a kind of rippling going on. The odd thing though, it only rippled at certain times - it never rippled while playing a DVD through either my XBox or my DVD player, nor rippled during the dashboards of either my XBox or DC, but rippled like hell during gameplay of all systems, through both S-Video and composite.

Never figured out what the trouble was - tube imperfections, you say?

  7. My TV pulls in the top right corner with ALL PSOne games, on ANY PSOne, and even on my PS2! (I have no problems with PS2 games, or anything else.) Anyone ever seen that?

  8. The corners of my screen get cut off on anything I do on my TV no matter what. I was thinking this was just because I have a tube and the corners are curved, but does this happen on all tubes?
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
