    UT2003 demo

I downloaded the UT2003 demo last night and played a little Deathmatch. While playing I noticed that the levels were glitching up, often resulting in me having to resart my computer. For example, in the outdoor deathmatch level, my screen would somtime turn completely black or the level would lose all its texture and the screen would turn white. Now I tried to play this morning and I couldn't even connect to the servers. Anyone else having trouble??

First there servers are up and down while they fine tune things, I suggest using gamespy as I do to get on servers....

As for the glitching you would help me out allot by listing your pc specs, most importantly being Video Card and drivers version...

Once all is said and done go here and it will show you how to tweak out your graphics settings which made a huge difference on my machine and I have not a weak system

It crashes on me too. But I don't know whether it's the demo's fault for being buggy or my computer's fault for being underpowered. I usually restart my machine and then it works again.

  4. There's an outdoor level in the demo? Every single server I've connected to in the past two days has been the same damn level. Only last night was I able to find one that used normal physics instead of moon gravity...

No problems with crashing or glitches though. Unless you count minimizing the game and then being unable to maximize again one. Which sorta is.

If you want to check out the outdoor level, go to Instant Action and it's the default level.

It's because the outdoor level is ASS. I tried to like it, really I did. But it's garbage compared to Asbestos.

BTW My server plays All types of games and can be found under Chux Server.

  7. Umm I feel stupid for asking this, but where can I get the UT2003 demo?

  8. I got mine from

    http://www.fileshack.com

It's 97 megs, and you'll have to sign up to use it, but I downloaded it at 400kbps.

  9. Thank you.

I don't know about ass, I actually liked it a bit more then I did the inside level. Probably because it had such a different feel then the regular indoor levels, although it didn't look finished (in spectator you can see there's no ground below the edges of the map). Asbestos just made me wish I was playing Quake 3.

I'll take a look for it. Hopefully the All-Seeing Eye has been updated to support the UT2k3 demo, I hate in-game server browsers, they all suck ass and none of them can read a ping worth a damn.

    "46 ping? Lessee... *in-game* 150 ping?! Dammit!"
