Why, that game was awesome ??

  2. Man, VOOT owned VOOM all over the place... no contest.

The control scheme they noted sounds pretty sorry, hopefull that will remain simply an option.

Saturn VOOM can be fun, yes.

...But as an arcade port, it's probably the worst fighting game port I can think of, save for perhaps certain handheld games.

EVERY attack has different speed, damage, and rotation from the arcade version. The worst part is, it almost seems completely random.

Single-framing is not possible. This is quite annoying. Especially when I tried to single-frame for a month before I found out it wasn't there.

Belgdor can fire through walls. Hmm.

    Green Hills has no hills.

I love VOOM. I just think the Saturn version is a terrible representation of it. The closest you can get to home VOOM without buying a cabinet would be the PC version, PC gameport official Twinsticks (yes, they were made), and a LAN.

Now, as for VOOM being a better game... Some think VOOM is a bit more strategic because of its slower pace. I'm not one of those people.

  4. This sounds like its built completly for the PS2 Controller. It sounds like they tried to forget what Twin Sticks are. I am not an VO expert in any way or form. I have VOOT for DC, while the game is really cool at the time I got it I did not get into due to other game distractions me thinks, I have been meaning to pick it back up. Anyways, I think people are going to really need to forget about Twin Sticks being made for this, as it sounds like the controlls are being re-built.
As for "All the brown" I am guessing that all those pictures are from one level, perhaps a canyon level. I doubt everylevel will be like that, the fog though is unsettling.
As for a U.S. release, well stranger things have happend (Rez, Animal Crossing, etc.). People do know what VO is in america, the first two games were released here. They sold like shit but at least it has some sort of base here, albeit a small one. If it does get released here pick it up as soon as possiable becaise its going to have a wicked small print run. Who knows what will happan, and I sure don't like the name "MARZ".
And the name "MARZ" might explain all the Brown dirt and such, last time I checked the Planet Mars has no vegitation what so ever.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!

  5. VOOM on saturn wasn't too bad, but a shadow of what was in the arcade.

VOOT was infintley better than VOOM, and still gets alot of playtime from me, hell 3 years into playing, me and a friend are still trying to figure out some moves we've seen the computer do that we can't.

Yes the game is playable without twinsticks, so no need to play that card, its just as fast and furious with the pad as with twinsticks.

I don't think I can get used to the layout they gave with the whole rotation and attack/dash and whatnot, twinsticks all the way for me, I WILL NOT miss out this time around, hell, I'll buy 3 sets if I can.

  7. Anyone download the video at the official site? It's interesting... but no MARZ footage. It builds up to... well, nothing.

  8. CLick_Stick - much like many of the US Dreamcast commercials? ^_^

  9. Come on now, the JGR commercial was a classic.

  10. Oh, your right, I totally forgot about that one, yes, that one kicked ass, vandalism of asses at its best.
