Skie of Arcadia Legends, Panzer Dragoon Orta & Shinobi TGS Trailers

Wow.

Orta finally gets my "sexiest thing ever displayed in pixels" mark, and Shinobi is everything I could ask for.

And now, with the announcement of Marz, I'm putting every other purchase on hold until I have a PS2.

Sweet mother, DLed SoA at around 350kb/s, Panzer around 400 kb/s.....and Shinobi at 100 kb/s. Nice freaking speeds!

and Shinobi looks damn sexy for a game I thought I\'d never have any interest in, and that tune to the clip of it is addicting.:P

Certainly looked like it. The animations (and the chopping thereof), the movement, it all looked in-game. They had some cut-scenes interspersed but most looked like gameplay footage.

Out of curiousity, what makes you say otherwise?

I'm not denying it was in-game, as in generated by the game's engine.

I'm saying it wasn't footage of the game being played. Game-Play.

PDO and Shinobi look amazing. Never liked Skies of Arcadia so I'm not really interested in it, but maybe they'll make some positive changes. And yes, having all the systems is truly a great thing .

The NG trailer struck me as a tech demo for the engine and, at best, a rough approximation of how it might play. The Orta and Shinobi videos are done of games that are very near completion and are basically gameplay footage without the HUD.

But fuck, that's not even my point. My point is that a statement like this:

And let's be real here. From the gameplay movies I've seen of Ninja Gaiden it's absurd to think it even has a chance to live up to Shinobi. It's nothing but standard beatemup fare, the kind that got old a long time ago.

...is all sorts of ridiculous, especially so early in the game.
